Eddie Howe Is Happy to Irritate Premier League Title for Newcastle

Eddie Howe has warned the Premier League rivals of Newcastle that his club doesn’t have any qualms about getting under the skin of the top establishment. The impressive rise of Newcastle to the 4th position in the Premier League has been fueled by the astute management of Howe and the financial muscle of the Saudi-backed owners of the club. However, the ascent of Newcastle has not gone down well with the clubs being edged out, including the opponents of Liverpool on Saturday.

Liverpool is languishing in the 9th place in the Premier League before their trip to St. James’ Park. Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool boss complained about the time-wasting of Newcastle during their meeting earlier this season and since then has aimed at the spending power of the Magpies.

However, Howe has made it clear that his clear isn’t there to be linked, with winning their one focus. He told the reporters that they are not there to do anything other than try to win the game they are competing in, and to not be the club that everyone thinks of and looks at, as ‘Good losers’. That is not what they want to be.

This is what he is trying to instill in the players each day. He says the wants to build a winning culture and mentality. Newcastle is going to look for revenge over Liverpool after the 2-1 defeat they suffered at Anfield, courtesy of the strike 8 of Fabio Carvalho into stoppage-time.

The loss was the last for Newcastle in the Premier League as they embarked on an unbeaten 17-run game and Howe decided to keep their strike going. He said he doesn’t need to be reminded how painful losing is. He did most of that at the time of his playing career and he hated the feeling. Howe says that he tried doing everything he could to not feel that going into the next game.
